São Paulo, October 2, 2023 - Shopee has unveiled the inaugural edition of the Shopee Educa Project, an initiative aimed at empowering 100 individuals residing in Simões Filho (BA), Fortaleza (CE), and Recife (PE) communities. The groundbreaking initiative is designed to cultivate opportunities for participants, equipping them with essential education and entrepreneurial skills to unlock their potential.
In partnership with Alicerce Educação, this project features an academic program dedicated to bridging educational gaps and nurturing critical thinking, self-confidence, and emotional intelligence among its participants. Additionally, the project is committed to creating new opportunities for students by immersing them in the world of digital entrepreneurship and presenting to them various job opportunities within Shopee’s ecosystem.

Social Impact and Job Creation
Starting in October, classes will commence with in-person sessions three times a week, each lasting for 1.5 hours, over a period of four months. The curriculum will encompass a diverse range of subjects, including mathematics, reading and writing, the fundamentals of entrepreneurship, an introduction to e-commerce, and various topics pertaining to socio-emotional skills. The program will also actively explore ways to connect students with local job opportunities, including those within Shopee — a key cornerstone of this project.
